Spectrum will audition singers with previous choral experience throughout the 2025-2026 season. Auditions are scheduled by appointment (see below for more audition information).

Sing with Spectrum!

We are a welcoming community of experienced choral singers performing a wide spectrum of music.

We are always interested in skilled singers—with vocal training or choral experience—in all voice parts.

When: August 25, September 8, 15, and 22, 2025

Time: Starting at 7:00pm

Where: Kendall Square, Cambridge (exact location provided with audition confirmation)

How to Prepare?

You will sing for our Music Director, Max Holman, who will lead you through a variety of vocal exercises.

You may bring a prepared piece (with or without accompaniment) if you would like, however it is not required. Previous choral singing experience is required.

Rehearsals

When: Monday evenings, 7:30–10 pm. First Fall 2025 rehearsal is September 8.

Where: Kendall Square, Cambridge

Getting There:

By public transit - Red Line to Kendall/MIT station or Green Line to Lechmere station. Walk from T to rehearsal location is about 10 minutes.
By car - free indoor parking is available.

First Church Congregational, Harvard Square (at the corner of Garden and Mason Streets)

We sing the entire spectrum of classical choral music from a cappella to full orchestral works. Our repertoire includes works by Purcell, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Brahms, Vaughan-Williams, Britten, Boulanger, Price, Whitacre, Fairouz, Hailstork, and more.
